Crepe Experiment TO Crepe Store Design? 2 Years, 3 Months ago Karma: 10
I posted on the other thread on how to start a crepe business.

I'm thankful that from what Gerel's advice, I was able to make my checklist but I have problems dealing it.

On my checklist, the first phase is to formulate the menu which is experimenting. I sent an email to my boss for the approval of the budget but he didn't approved so I decided to move on with another phase.

I decided to think of a store name first, design the logo and the store. Is this a good move or not? What are the considerations needed in branding/creating the store name? Will it be better to use pinoy word for the store name? Or stick with the french terms?

Hey Christoper Lee, I made a list below. It's just a draft list. You can play around with it so that it fits your working schedule.

1. Define your Product: ex. Specialty crepes. Unflavored crepes to be served with various fillings.
2. Target Market: ex. Yuppies working in the Ortigas area.
3. Store Image and Identity
4. Amount of capital you are willing to put out.

Your choice of the target market will affect the other things on the list.

For example, if your target market is:
Yuppies - Then your product must have a slightly upscale image but at the same time affordable.
Class A - Then your product must have a very upscale image and can have a very high price.
Families - Then your product must be at a low price and in large servings. Also possibly sold as combo meals like 2 pcs cheese crepe with a large iced tea.

The store name, image / theme / decor, location and other products must also be consistent with your target market.

Once you pick your target market the people here in the community could probably help you out with the other stuff. Just post.

This will help me, i'll just make it detailed. But the target market will also affect the location? Uhm, no.4 refers to projected budget right? So, i'll have my estimated budget for the whole operation of tha store?

Defining the products will also help me understand what to do when I experiment with the menu, am i getting them right?
